Nanex is developing a lab-on-a-chip solution for point-of-care medical diagnostics.
Our solution is a low cost, low power, lightweight instrument well-suited for POC detection of
pathogens and genetic markers. Our sensor array is capable of performing bioassays and molecular
diagnostics on samples containing as few as three strands of nucleic acid through the use of
PCR amplification. Analysis is accomplished using electrical interrogation of probes at low
voltages. No optical components are needed. The micro-liter volumes of the integrated components
minimize reagent use. Our probes recognize segments of nucleic acid directly so there
is no need to label the analytes. Our technology will provide reliable identification of nucleic
acids with single base mismatch selectivity.
